St. John's is eager to work with our engaged couples so that their wedding day is the happiest day of their lives. Please contact the rectory to set up an appointment to book you special day BEFORE you book your reception, to be sure that the date that you desire is available.

Choosing Music for Your Wedding

It is important to set up a meeting with the music director to discuss the music options for your wedding at least 6-8 weeks in advance. While we do try to honor special music requests please note that the text of your music selections must be scripture-based. Saint John Parish uses the hymnal Breaking Bread, published by OCP.

Settings of the Gospel and Eucharistic Acclamations are chosen at the discretion of the music director.

Approximately 20 minutes of prelude music will also be provided before the wedding.

While you are permitted to invite friends or family to sing one selection at your wedding (at the discretion of the Music Director), it is the policy of St. John's church that one of our experienced cantors be contracted to sing.
